Dishonored spoilers, replying to popo
I didn't get a choice. So if I have high chaos I get a choice I'm guessing. Please tell me the choice is more then just kill Havelock or not. I was kind of let down by the ending since i just knocked him out but didn't kill him so I was expecting to find out what happened to him after the fact.
Speaking of shitty endings, I'm thinking about picking up the Mass Effect trilogy on ps3. I've never played any of them before but I loved the kotor games. Would I probably like ME series or should I just try to find a copy of kotor 2 since I never got a chance to finish it?

Well the kicker there is how sloppy KOTOR2 gets towards the end as well, but Obsidian had a better excuse in that they were just totally rushed and tried to do too much. Supposedly there's mods out there now that restore a lot of lost content they had left in the code or something and it expands on the ending... supposedly, not sure.

Still, you'll see a transition within the ME games. ME1 is still definitely pretty RPG-ish and probably my favorite, comparable to KOTOR and stuff, way more dialogue choices, etc, but yeah then the games get far more stripped down afterwards. I'm a huge fan of all of them, but I definitely liked the complexity of the first more, and a major thing for me is that you could actually play neutral in the KOTOR games... ME, not so much. You're either bad or good pretty much, so there's not a lot of middle ground.

It was so easy to get the low chaos ending in Dishonored I thought. I definitely killed people off and on, but yeah still easy to get that ending. However doing a full non-lethal run, now that'll be interesting... I thought the game was a pretty good length actually, but yeah I totally wanted to replay it right away as well after finishing it.

Overall I like DXHR more, but I agree the endings suck. But I think the endings in all the Deus Ex games are kind of "whatev", though I see that as the point really. They're drab and you can't magically fix things overnight, so I like how they come off a bit anti-climatic. Still though yeah, in DXHR's case just pushing three different buttons was pretty lame and don't even get me started on the "enemies" during the final stuff, I won't specify so I don't spoil anything, but ugh I completely hated it.

Full non-lethal isn't too hard to do; the trick is there's a few things that can spoil the run if you're not careful. Tossing an unconcious body into the water kills it, same with letting the rats eat it. Both of those spoiled my run, since I didn't find out until after the level was over and didn't feel like replaying it.

PS3 is the least-preferable platform to play the ME series on if you have other options. At least with regard to game performance.

The games themselves are fantastic in my opinion. They all have their flaws, but far outweigh them with goodness. Well worth playing if you haven't. Another consideration if you loved KoTOR would be Jade Empire - where Mass Effect goes cover based shooter, Jade Empire goes beat 'em up.

And until recently, the first game in the series wasn't even on the system.

True, and were it a question of just ME1, the PS3 version apparently is an improvement over the 360 version. Just seems to me like if you're comparing console versions, the PS3 code beats out the (much) earlier 360 efforts for the first game, but lags behind as you progress through the series with the 360 version of 3 coming out on top, even compared to the Wii U version.

Personally, I played them all on PC, which outside of being forced to use Origin for 3, is the way to go IMO.

Good to hear, I just bought the first one on the Steam sale because of the good words everyone had of it. I tried it back when it came out on the 360, but it was not my taste. I plan on giving it a go soon, but want to finish some other games first. But Im not installing Origin to play 3 if I get that far. Ill play it on the Wiiu instead. Origin and I have had issues.

MOH: Airborne

This game IS FUCKING AMAZING! :D

Seriously, it's one of the best games in the series (And I've liked most of them, it looks and sounds phenomenal (There are recent UE3 games that can't even look that good), there's tons of replay value and there's a cool upgrade system.

I'll be getting to it soon! (I've got the MOH 10th anniversary package, that game is included) -- just started MOH Pacific Assault!

Airborne was great, especially the multiplayer. It's one of the forgotten FPS games of this generation, probably because it was one of the last notable WWII based games.
