The hell was with NYC not playing auld lang syne? That was a huge bummer when the ball dropped. Hasn't been the same without Dick Clark.

Anyways, later 2012. Hope everyone's NYE was as fun as mine.

What were you watching? They did play it: first thing after the ball dropped and before "New York, New York." Pretty much like every other year.

We jumped from CNN with A.Cooper and Kathy Griffin, and whatever channel AC Slater was hosting (both were in NYC, both played the same songs).

Right before countdown they played "Imagine", then "New York, New York", and after the ball dropped it was "What a wonderful world" sung by Armstrong.

I checked online and the Jenny McCarthy special had auld lang syne, but neither broadcast we watched did. There was a collective "wtf?" when wonderful world started playing. I mean, we know the words to that song. We wanted to slur along like usual.

I watched CNN. It was played in Times Square after Imagine. You missed it.

My entire party missed it as well. That's really weird. We had our toast, kissed our wife/girlfriend, gave friends a peck on the cheek, and kept waiting to hear auld lang syne.

Oh well, our game of "yo mama" more than makes up for missing auld lang syne.*

*But I'm bummed I missed it.
