Have you ever "forced yourself" to beat a game.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Well i finally finished Crysis again, but this time instead of on Normal, it was on Delta. That game becomes a complete nightmare the last 5 hours. It goes from a 15 hour game to a 30 0_0. The end boss is so cheap too, its nigh impossible to turn your system off to play some flash games. I swear its harder than "I want to be the Guy".
That game now gets a 5.0 cause on the hardest difficulty its really not worth playing. Im completely sick of it now. I dare you people to go and play it. Try forcing yourself through that.

what pisses me off is that I always lose my lives on the stupid parts (falling spikes in mission 3, the wall blocks in mission 4, abobo combos that take off 1/4 of your life)
I hear your pain. That game gets old quick. I keep hoping you'll get some kind of upgrade for beating up all those dudes. Nope same moves entire game, but the enemies keep getting cheaper.

As much as I loved Bioshock it got so messy near the end. Story got bad and I found lots of collision detection problems. Still love the game, really good at setting a "tone" or feel.

all the time, in all honesty
GTA 3 was one of them,,,
I think any game that that runs over 30+ hours will become like a chore to finish it.

san andreas was exciting till the end though.

One game I really forced myself to finish was Smackdown vs RAW 2007. I didn't put down that game until i got the whole awards collection and fully unlocked.
The coach mode (or whatever) I spent more time with than the whole other parts of the game. I actually played almost every match in that mode for a whole "in game" year!!

Huh... I heard that one was rather good in a way like it was a throwback to the SNES FF games. What's your beef w/that game?

It was boring, I didn't care for most of the characters, I didn't care for most of the designs for people, I've never really been a big fan of the crystal stuff, the main bad guy didn't convince me, I hated the card system...the only things I really liked about the game were Vivi and the system for learning new abilities. Hence my never having beaten it. I've made it to the start of the second disc, but I just couldn't make myself go any further.

I see. Well, as long as the card system isn't the primary battle feature, I'll give it a whirl one day. Right now FFIV DS is quite enjoyable. :)

I forced my way to finish Cosmic Fantasy 2 for TG-16 only because I wanted to get my moneys worth. Grinding all the way to the end. I found out later that the game was released incomplete witch made sense because it was ass!

Metal Gear Solid 3. A good chunk of it was just plain horrible, but it gets really good towards the end with great action, epic moments, a fantastic final boss fight, and a memorable ending. I hear the substance version is better and will try it out one day
