Saturn's video out has always impressed me. Even composite from it looks really good.

This video did a lot for me, only because back in the day I quickly dismissed the Saturn as a pathetic last breath for Sega that was a repository for their newer arcade ports and we all know its legendary poor US support.

It seems it was quite a player in Japan, where all the damn good games ended up. I had no idea there was a sequel to Beyond Oasis either. I already knew of its legendary home for perfect shmup ports.

Oh man there is still some amazing U.S. support in terms of games. Dragon Force, Magic Knight Rayearth (yeah yeah I know...but the game is still really really good), Shining Force III (which now has the japanese episodes fan translated) and Panzer Dragoon Saga are all games that are unbearably entertaining and have such great replay value...Dragon Force especially.

yeah Exed's post makes it sound like good games ONLY came out in Japan for the system. That's certainly not true.

I'd word it like this: "The Saturn had way too many awesome games that only saw a Japanese release."

That's what I was trying to get at. I know there's quite a few good American titles. One of them I saw on your show a while back -- Powerslave! That would be an FPS I'd love to try.

Enjoyed the video, now I have to add more games to my want list. I'll have to watch this again some time!
