What are Your 2012 Gaming and Collecting Goals?

I'm mostly looking at playing and not collecting this year (around 200 games for 2011 means I now have an enormous backlog), but I would want to flesh out my Genesis and Master System collections a little better. Also, still aiming to get 8/16 bit Konami games.

This did not work out. I got more games in 2012 than I did in 2011, and I played less, thanks to an overloaded schedule. I did get my Genesis collection up, though.

#1 goal of 2012:
FINALLY complete my original Playstation collection, which includes buying:
Brigandine
Castlevania Chronicles
Monster Rancher
Tactics Ogre
Persona 1
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature
Mega Man Legends 1
Vandal Hearts 1
Street Fighter Alpha 3

Well, I consider my old goal from almost a year ago accomplished - I have all of these games with the exception of SFA3 and Castlevania Chronicles.

Well, I completed my biggest goal: collect 200 SNES games. I reached this goal around early December. Not sure what my 2013 goal for my SNES collection will be, though I will likely keep it small...225 or so.

Gaming Goals:

-Spend more time with shmups. Eh, I guess I did this.
-Play other survival horror games outside the Silent Hill series. Yep.
-Beat Dragon Warrior II. (The Grinding!! The G-r-i-n-d-i-n-g!!!) ha. That didn't happen.
-Eliminate at least 40 games from my backlog. Don't think I succeeded.

Collecting Goals:

-Collect more shmups. Gotta do this to achieve goal #1. Yeah.
-Collect a few more Silent Hill games from Japan/PAL regions. Nope.
-MAYBE get a Vita this year... Yep.

Gaming Goals:
1. I want to 1cc a well-respected shmup
Done.

2. I want to delve into both classic JRPGs and classic WRPGs even further than I did last year
Done.

3. I want to find a point and click adventure game that I actually enjoy.
Nope, but not for lack of trying. Just not my genre.

4. I want to play considerably more PC games (or cross platform games on PC) than I did last year -
Done.

5. I want to spend less time gaming and more time writing about gaming in a meaningful/thought-provoking way (and for a broader audience)
Done.

Collecting Goals
1. I want to set a clear goal by the end of January for a "major thing" to collect for the year (I know this is a cop out, but I need more time to think it over!)
Done.

2. I want to round out my PSP and Wii collection when these consoles start getting phased out (already have a good start on this )
Done.

3. I want to pick up the vast majority of the remaining Atari 2600/7800/Jaguar games that I have interest in owning.
Done.

All in all a very good year. 7/8 goals met. Much better than last year, where I went 4/7.

Dave as much as I hate to give up, I feel like if you didn't enjoy Secret of Monkey Island or Maniac Mansion then you probably really don't like point-n-clicks.
