kelsey, thank you for posting this. i honestly teared up at this photo. it's amazing how much closer you really do feel to someone you've never met once you realize you'll never get the chance to do so. i always got a great feeling reading Breetai's posts and i hope he is at peace wherever he rests now.

I spoke with him daily over at the Pc-Engine chat room. I can't believe I didn't hear about this until now. I would consider him a good friend online and I got to know him well as we shared stories, talked nonsense, shared music and even pics of our children.
I'm really going to miss you man...
I wish your family the best

Wow...randomly decided to check back in this forum because I haven't really been around for almost a year and I see this.

Breetai helped me out once when I began to learn Japanese and posted on here asking advice on moving over there. He seemed like a really great guy and helpful. This is so terrible, may he rest in peace.

Made me think of this song...

Kansas - Dust in the wind

Pictures like that are both beatiful and painful to watch at the same time.

But it's also a nice reminder of what most of us here have in common... ^^

I thought I posted this a few days ago, but I can't seem to find the post. I didn't interact with him much, but from the posts I've seen he seemed like a great guy. My conolences to his family.

 I too thought he was just leaving the site - I'm really sad to hear about it but mighty powerful from his friends & family to reach out in their time of need.

I knew him via the site and we PM'd a bit as well too (and after seeing his pic, I coulda sworn that we'd shared the same commuter train years ago in Japan, trippy).
Thought he was a good guy and I'm glad his little girl is okay. She'll see her daddy again one day but until then, I know everyone in her family will give her the most love they can give that her daddy would give her.

This is really sad. I've always been kind of a semi-lurker here and not too active but whenever I got on to post I pretty much always read through at least a few posts by Breetai, always friendly or helpful to either myself or someone else. It's sad knowing I won't get to any more.

Hoping the family is doing well in their time of need and my condolences. :(
