Xenoblade Chronicles out of print?
Xenoblade Chronicles out of print?
Is this the new metroid trilogy? Appears to be out of print. None at nintendo.com or gamestop.com. Ebay prices are fetching $75+ now. I ended buying this game i still have it in the shrink wrap, but now this kind of bugs me. Now if its going to be worth money and become a collectors item, It makes it hard to open it up and play it.

Don't be a hoarder or flipper. If you wanted to go down that road you could have purchased two copies at launch.
Open that shit. It's an awesome game.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles out of print?
Amazon has two copies at over one hundred dollars and lists the game as RP. What the hell does that mean?
I wonder how much my opened copy will fetch in a few years
I would say if you really want to play it badly, open it. Unless there is some way to get a modded Wii and get a pirate copy to play. If you care more about its value than the game itself, don't open it. Pretty simple decision really
Or just buy a second copy, 70-80 dollar ones are on ebay as you said. That's a bit steep, but it's about what new PS3 or Xbox 360 games go for, especially if you factor in DLC, which gives you the REAL price of the game

Oh just open and play it. I really hate the idea of keeping sealed games around (I tried and it drove me crazy, then I got rid of them and spent the money on something I would play). Put money in a Savings Account or CD to draw a little interest.

I have seen gutted new copies at all the gamestops near me... but probably isnt worth the hassle and small profit to flip them since they arent sealed

Imagines env963 opening it and playing it, then realizing he doesn't like it and hitting his head on a wall for not keeping it sealed as a collector's item
Personally, I don't think the game is that amazing. In retrospect, I kind of wish I had kept my copy sealed as a collector's item

Worthless until play tested
If you wait and eventually open it later it will be much harder to replace if defective.

I think most collectors down the line will value a sealed copy higher. The % of defective copies are low enough that the risk is negligible.

there's an entire market that contradicts this statement.

but it's kind of an interesting point though, that people will pay hundreds of dollars for some VGA rated, sealed tight game that could be worthless if it's a defective disk, but no one will ever know.
