Sony's Playstation 1 ruled the 2nd half of the 1990s and there were hundreds of great games for the console. However, some hidden gems are still out there for serious collectors.
How many have you played? What would you like to see in Part 2?
Nice vid. Knew of most of them already, but some new games for me as well. Need to look into Hot Wheels Turbo Racing. The soundtrack actually has Metallica? Damn.
Some things I feel I need to point out:
Your Strikers 1945 is actually Strikers 1945 II, the name was changed for the US release. The original game was ported to the PS1 as well, but it was never released in USA, only Japan. I guess the US publisher didn't want to confuse buyers by releasing a sequel when the original never made it out over there.
Silhouette Mirage's US version plays quite differently from the Japanese release. Check out HG101's article for more info.
Nice video, you mentioned a bunch of great games. Ghost in the shell is fantastic, the anime cut scenes and smooth controls more people should check that out. And the the comment about Einhander is so true definitely the greatest shooter of all time imo.
I myself have a vast collection of PS1 as of late and would recommend some of these for your next video possibly.
Akuji the heartless- played very little but seemed very polished.
Legacy of Kain Blood Omen-Popular following, perhaps forgotten.
Coolboarders Series-Same as blood omen
Crusader No Remorse-just got this recently
Darkstone-2nd best dungeon crawler, if not better than diablo once the game gets started with the action.
Fear Effect-great gem
Micro Maniacs Racing-Metal Jesus if you haven't played this yet I'd be surprised.
Geikido Urban Fighters-Over looked beatem up
Jade Cocoon-Beautiful RPG which hardly gets mentioned.
Monster Rancher Battle Cards-Great TCG, which you can use your game collection to pull cards to make custom decks. Simple yet addictive.
Pong next level-This game was surprisingly good even when it was released back then.
Shadow Tower-Feels very Demon Souls in first person view to me. likes alot!
Thrasher Skate & Destroy-Best way to put it, this game reminds me of what the game Skate is today. Totally opposite of THPS you need to do a combination of button presses to even do a kickflip. Slight learning curve but very rewarding, I believe published by Rockstar.
Pinobee-Colorful platformer kinda reminds me of a cross between Rayman & Mega Man.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
Another great video! Unlike a lot of Video reviews, you post video of gameplay with the all the original sounds and not dubbed in useless background music. This really helps in seeing how a game actually is thank you!
I think a great hidden gem of the PS1 is many of the earlier games that were coded for Dpad control since the Duel Shock was not implemented yet. Sometimes the analog stick is better, but with an Arcade stick that requires digital control, some games truly shine. My hidden gem pick of an earlier Dpad control title:
Assault Rigs
Pre duel shock game that really works well with an arcade stick. I play this game with a modded Zaxxon Arcade stick, that digital control is a perfect match in turning the tank.
Also worth mentioning is the Atari, Midway, Williams Arcade Hits emulator series. Unlike the newer versions on other consoles, the PS1 has Complete Customizable Controls as well as support of changing the Cabinet Dip Switches. You can even use part of player two controls for player one. This opens up all kinds of control options such as a true Twinstick mode with a two Arcade Sticks. The PS1 has so many Arcade Sticks and Controllers compared to any other console.

Nightmare Creatures is awesome too! I like the falling leaf effects in the cemetary, and the secrets amoungst many other things in this game.
I forgot to mention Juggernaut, this game is freaky, scarey and creepy. Plays like "D" but the story seems to follow your posessed girlfriend and all this other crazy stuff.. I'm pretty sure many have never tried this, I'm glad I found it.
