this came VERY close to making my list man. So close. Like I was struggling to decide between this and the Fiona. But something had to go. But yeah amazing record. "Entombed" is one of their best tracks of their career. Loved this album.

Why do so many albums cost more in MP3 format than they do for the CD? This pisses me off.

Where are you shopping at? It's the other way around.

Check out Amazon:

My personal pick for album of the year (Amorphis - Skyforger) on this thread goes for $8.99 in MP3 format, while it's $11.99 in CD format.

I'm shopping on Amazon. Generally, MP3 albums are generally cheaper, but there are a fair amount of albums that are more expensive than CDs.

Here's a few I was just looking at:
The Swans: Seer

Unwound: Leaves Turn Inside You

With that first example, it's because the CD is the Special Edition. 2nd one I don't see that, though. It is only like a dollar difference.

But those examples are the exception, not the norm. For the most part, MP3 albums are cheaper on Amazon.

Even 10-15 years in, the idea of people paying money for MP3s still blows my fucking mind, for reasons that have little or nothing to do with piracy.

Does it have something to do with mp3s being a lossy format?

I don't understand why someone would pay for mp3s when an actual CD can be obtained for a comparable price.

Then again, I don't know why anyone would download a PC game if a physical version is also available.
