I am stoked for the Text Adventure category, although I am a bit disappointed that Zork was chosen since it really is archaic and does not stand the test of time. I highly suggest, for future together Retros to look into doing A Mind Forever Voyaging which is still a brilliant piece of interactive Fiction.
I can't wait for all of it though. Gonna charge into Baldur's Gate now that the enhanced edition is out, it is time to finally tackle that game!

If the Enhanced version is allowed, I'll probably do the iOS ver for the iPad.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
I've gotten a head start with Baldur's Gate, since I know it's going to take me way more than a month. But I'm playing my original copy that came on 5 CDs and another with the expansion.
From what I can tell though, if you don't own it, your best bet is to get the new Enhanced Edition - it's still pretty much the same game. And you know that Dark Alliance is a completely different game, right?
I understand that DA is more Diablo like, I just know sometimes people play sequels or different versions. Does anyone have the enhanced version to know if its worth $10 more than the original?

The big difference between the Enhanced Edition and the original is actually pretty small. there are additional quests, characters and sidestories, although not that many. The major difference is the menu and UI overhaul, which can still be obtained via mods on the original. I'm most likely going to do the enhanced version, since I don't want to go through the hassle of finding the original.
