So yeah, you walk in and this is pretty much the first thing you see:
My MK2 cab

It was a pain to drag that in there considering it's missing one of its casters and I had to remove the door temporarily, but now that it's in here I really like it. I've tried to clean it up a bit from how it originally was, replaced the microswitches in the buttons, replaced one of the sticks, etc. There's a lot of stuff that still needs to be done (t-molding, etc), but I'm taking my time with it.
Next we have this:
The futon fits well in here. It's not really very good, but it works I suppose. The built-in cup holders are pretty awesome. On the right you can see my controller drawers, and on top of them is a cheapo RF only TV that I use for Atari 2600 and anything else that's RF only. That fan on top really comes in handy, this room can get really hot sometimes. There's a water heater adjacent to the room.
and here's the console shelf. It's pretty spacious, lots of room to expand for future consoles.
You can get a small glimpse at how nutty the wiring gets with the surge protectors, etc. They're all hooked up, 3 different switchboxes, one for composite, one for s-video, and one for RGB. That NES up there has unfortunately decided to just up and stop working for me, but I have a toploader on the way now (yes I plan to AV mod it) so I guess that works okay.
My main gaming CRT. It's a Magnavox RGB presentation monitor. No RF input at all, hence the need for the secondary TV for Atari. There's a pair of super cheapo home stereo speakers on top of it. They don't sound very good, but considering that the TV has no built in speakers at all, they'll do in a pinch. It's pretty noisy for not having any speakers built into it, but that's due to the pair of fans in the thing (!) whirring like crazy. Monitor itself looks pretty great, though it's got some pincushion issues that I'm not quite sure how to fix. One of these days...
the HDTV. It's a Samsung LN46C630k. According to stuff I've dug up online, apparently there's a couple of different board revisions in it, once of which is known for having really really nasty input lag. Luckily mine's the good one, I've never had any problems. I have to go in and turn on pretty much all of the useless post processing features to even get any lag that feels noticeable.
I also have the Ps3 here, HD console and all. The Wii is there too, hooked up via component. mainly because I want widescreen for the widescreen stuff. It looks pretty okay to me. For Gamecube, I kinda bounce back and forth between using the Wii and just using the Gamecube on the CRT, though usually I end up just sticking to the Wii for that. The Gamecube on the shelf is mainly for GameBoy Player.
You can't really see it, but there's also an Onkyo 5.1 reciever down there. It won't impress any audiophiles I'm sure, but it's easily the best sounding thing in this room.
here's the computer I use. Seems like one of those crappy logitech speakers fell down.

Once upon a time I had a pair of KRK monitors as my main speakers, but that was a long time ago. Wish I'd have kept them, they sounded great. That desk is falling to pieces and I really need to replace it.
So lets take a peek into this gaming nook shall we?
Here's all the NES, N64, Gamecube, Saturn, Dreamcast, Ps1, and Atari stuff. You can't see the Saturn and onward stuff very well, I'll try and come back and update the post with a better pic of those lower shelves in a bit.
Here's the SNES, Wii, and some Ps2 stuff.
And the rest of the Ps2 and all of my Ps3 stuff. Not a whole lot there.
That shelf really sucks by the way. So easy to bump into it and make everything come crashing down, I really need to replace it.
Up here we have my boxed Power Base Converter, a white binder full of Nintendo Power magazines (more on that in a sec), a bunch of various guides, and a blue binder full of GB and Turbografx games (more on that too in a sec). Next to all that is a smallish cassette rack for all my Genesis and Master System games. It's getting kinda full, I need to upgrade to a bigger one soon.
There's also a disc only ps2 game sitting there and my Game Boy Player disc.
Bit of a peek to the left side. Game boxes, extra consoles, boxes of misc junk, tubs of extra cables, some dupes... pretty much anything I don't have a place for elsewhere. Also my guitar case...

small peak at the top half of the closet/nook. Just more misc junk. toolbox, a couple of smaller tvs...
Top shelf of this: CDs, mostly metal albums.
Next shelf is obviously blu rays and dvds. Most of my dvds are box sets, mostly anime and cartoons. I kinda quickly jumped on board the blu ray train when I got my HDTV finally and haven't really looked back since. If I can get it on blu, that's usually what I opt for. My DVDs are usually stuff that are unlikely to show up on blu ray anytime soon (if ever).
Anyway, that white binder. NP magazines in sheet protectors. This is a handful of issues from the first two years of its run. I'm hoping to complete it eventually. A lot of the issues are in kinda rough shape, but I'm very very glad to have them all the same.
The blue binder. Here's my ultra tiny GB collection. There's one system I've really neglected I think.

Back page has my Turbografx-16 stuff. Tiny collection here too, but it's more to do with the fact that good Turbografx games aren't something you come by too terribly often, and they're usually on the pricier side when you do.
Controller drawers!
Top drawer is Atari, Sony, Turbografx, etc. Basically the misc controllers.
Second from the top is all Nintendo.
Third is all Sega.
There's a fourth drawer is just full of misc junk.
And lastly, just an overhead view to get a better idea of how everything's laid out.
So yeah, some folks had asked me to do this before I think so there you go.
