Re: The new GOG

As someone just now getting into PC gaming in a serious way, I can't comment on how GOG used to be, but I absolutely LOVE them in their current form. Awesome bonus content, easy downloads, games that WORK (most of the time anyway), DRM free content, and insane holiday sales, it's great!

Also, the site actually DOES feel retro to me as most of the stuff being featured in their holiday sales is older software it seems, or indie titles. I should point out that the one or two games I had trouble running were easy to find fixes for(Tales of Monkey Island), and the issue was usually my Windows 8 operating system just being too new.

They've got that awesome Telltale games sale going on again today on Christmas. I played a bit of Sam & Max Save the World recently and it was hilarious! Quite a bit funnier than what I've played so far of Tales of Monkey Island actually, and easier to control too with its simpler point and click interface.
