Xbox 360 Drive tray issue.

In the last two weeks i have noticed that my 360 (hdmi arcade unit about 4 years old) is having trouble opening when i press the eject button or press the eject command on the screen.

I here it spinning up and then reading, but the tray doesn't come out. It takes about 6-8 attempts before it will pop, and then it tends to not have an issue till i power it down again.

Games play fine and I don't seem to have any other issues with the system.

Any ideas?

i prefer using a xk3y for games , i have my original Liteon in a storage box and not in the 360 ........ ill be doing the same for my other 6 360's as well.

Im not sure if you have found a solution to this problem but I have the same problem on both of my 360 systems. I find that when its not opening I just press the eject button the hit the top of the system close to the front a couple times with my palm it opens right up. Also I have noticed that it has more trouble opening when the eject button is used to start the console. Try turning the console on before ejecting.
