That's how ODM went out. As I recall, the final issue had a feature on the Dreamcast 2 complete with an interview with Peter Moore on the subject. I'd check to see if my memory is accurate, but the issue is at the bottom of the stack, and I'm lazy. At any rate, the article was in one of the later issues, at least, and there was nothing in the final issue to give the impression that the magazine, or the Dreamcast for that matter, was going down. I remember calling them about three months after that issue was printed, trying to find out where the next issues in my subscription were. Without a straight answer, I eventually came to the realization that they had gone under.

/sigh
When companies are going under they usually don't let any one know. The company I work for is in trouble then bam 50 people get let go. Hostess did not have enough workers for a week and then shut the doors. The high ups don't want their workers looking for another job till it is over and the CEO's will drain the company dry till all the money is gone. I found out my former CEO was getting an $1800 a month condo fully stocked on top of his company car and huge salary. Well my company finally got smart and we fired the CEO and VP since they were going to bleed the company dry witch is usually the way it works.

I understand the motivation for companies to keep their dealings discreet, but I just find it so ironic and silly that one of the last articles ODM ran was an interview talking with the SoA president about an 'imminent' sequel to a dying console.

I loved the magazine when it was called PSM. I got it for years. I finally stopped subscribing when i knew i wouldnt be getting the PS3 right away. Then apparently it changed its name and staff some time after that.

For a while though it was my favorite gaming magazine. I even remember mailing away for the code book they put out once a year that listed all of the cheat codes they printed.

The imfamous Thrill Kill cover story, the swimsuit issues, the PS1 lid stickers, it was a great read every month.

A shame. As an Literature and print person its hard for me to see all the print media items go the way of the dodo.

:(
