I thought that was kinda obvious considering how most copies of NiGHTs you find these days are in that big oversized box that fits both the disc and gamepad.
that's the version I have too. But I figured that version cost more back then than the stand-alone copy of the game. The big box has a jewel case version, so I know Nights was released in a longbox with no 3D pad included. Figured they were two diff prices.
Even in 1994 it was pretty obvious that it looked nothing like real life.

Modern games aren't even what I'd call 'photo realistic' yet.

This link is a major downer, but you can see some before & after shots of people addicted to meth.

When you see people like this on the street, try to imagine what they looked like before the drugs. I sometimes work in addiction treatment and one of the sad things about working with people addicted to drugs is that once they look haggard from the drugs, others stop treating them like people. The drug destroys them, and then everyone blames them for using in the first place and they are abandoned too.

Meth is fairly popular around here. Rural areas make for easy access to some of the ingredients and easy access to isolated places to cook the crap. Lots of busts...but it still goes on. :(

^

I have been reading my daughter the Little Golden Book's version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer this week, and her one enduring question is:

Why would Santa, who is seemingly obsessed with separating the naughty from the nice, tolerate such terrible behavior by his very own reindeer?

It is quite the scandal in my household...

Your daughter speaks like a young Jane Austin.

Oh those Little Golden Books. They are quite precious aren't they?

Well...it is not a direct quote, but she gets to that point...you should hear her reaon on mortality:

.....

Daughter: Am I going to die one day?

Wife: Well...yes. Everything dies some day. But that is not something that you should be worried about right now.

Daughter: Is Santa going to die some day?

Wife: Um...No...

Daughter: Why?

Wife: Well...because he's magical.

Daughter: I'm magical too...like Santa.

Me:
