There is no black model in the US. Only bronze, burgundy, red, pink, and blue.

I guess I've been looking at discolored pics of the bronze model? :?

Either that, or maybe there's a black one in Europe or Japan.

After using my 3ds exclusively for a few months I fired up my XL. It is still my favorite handheld on the market. The screen is just perfect, the weight is spot on, and the dpad is so much better than all the other ones. 3dsXL will be the only thing better (the joystick on the 3ds makes all 3d movement games better on the 3ds).

I haven't seen a black one in Japan though the box for dark brown sure looks black sometimes. Might be a limited black one though.

hate bringing up old threads but this pertains to me in a way. I now have the money and am thinking of getting the DSI XL, I already own a advance SP, have never owned a DS and it has more games that I am interested in then the 3DS(I always seem to be one generations behind when it comes to hand helds) my question is, is it still worth getting one? found a game store that sells used ones for around 89 dollars, plus there used DS games are not a bad price, is that a decent price, prefer to see equipment in real life when it comes to handhelds. or would my money be better spent on a nice self winding mechanical watch.

Instead of used you can get them new for around $129 maybe? Possibly a bigger drop early next year.
