Have you ever "forced yourself" to beat a game.

I think I might because I just want to experience every little peice of all my games. Even if the games bad I probably would because I think in the long run it would help me appreciate games more.

I remember doing this with SEVERAL master system and NES games.

Here are some of the more painful ones

Friday the 13th (NES)
Nightmare on Elm St. (NES)
Smurfs (Atari2600 I think) in this one you would die if you were slightly off when you jumped a fence

There were some good ones though, Like

Amagon (NES)
Muppets in Space (Atari2600)
Rygar (NES)
Goonies 2 (NES)

Yeah I do that to myself all the time because I don't feel right unless I've beaten every game in my collection.

I agree, alot of NES games you have to keep pushing yourself rather to beat out of sheer spite! I've also forced my self to finish a few rpgs i lost interest in about 3/4ths the way through. But mostly I'll only play a game if it's enjoyable, otherwise it gets sold. No sense in hanging onto a game you don't even want to play.

Thats my problem. I get about 9/10's of the way through a game then I suddenly dont feel like playing it anymore. Kinda like those people that will order a big meal all the time and never finish the last bite.

Their are a lot of rpgs I wish I would have finished from the NES days that I didn't (like ultima and Y's), But I go back and try them now and can't keep myself playing . I have been playing a lot of new ones all the way through, Like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Enchanted arms.

Enchanted Arms and Lost Odyssey are pretty good. The last 2 RPG's Ive played (almost all the way through) are Oblivion and Fable: The Lost Chapters. The next RPG I plan to get really isnt so much an RPG as it is a shooter, which is Fallout 3.

Oblivion and Fable were great games! I've played through Oblivion at least four times now and I'm playing now just messing around with a bunch of mods. I have Fallout 3 preordered and have been playing the original to brush up.

If you haven't played it Morrowind yet it's a great game also, I enjoyed it more than Oblivion.

Had it on the Xbox before the 360 f'ed it up. I thought it was better too but I think they are both awesome.
