There are dents all over the roof, hood, and front fenders. Every panel on the car has scratches from the tree except the trunk and rear bumper.

Also, it is really a Subaru with Saab camoflage and some upgraded interior bits.

That happened to me 4 years ago. I usually park my car in the garage but 1 week, I put it in the driveway. Well, we had a wind storm and a birch tree fell on it. Insurance didn't total the car but gave me $3K plus. Since I had other issues with the car, I sold it at auction for $2600. It got sold to some auto importer based in Russia. All in all, I came out slightly ahead and got myself a new car.

Sorry for your troubles, Hobie. I hope all goes smoothly with the insurance company.

Frown: Christmas is going to be... interesting. My dad is the patriarch of our family, as well as my younger cousin's only real father figure. She has decided to try and make it work with her baby's daddy, even though he left her high and dry while she was pregnant, and had nothing to do with her or their son for the last two years. Dad went and had a long talk with both of them regarding his expectations, etc. Long story short,
mom thinks he went over the top, and now we won't be going to the family farm this year, because my mom wants to avoid the entire situation, even though it's the family that is on her side.

Another frown: On top of that, the deadbeat cousin that was living with me for two months after being arrested for having meth paraphernalia in his house will be joining us for Christmas because my older brother feels bad for him, and he is also staying with my brother and his family. Things didn't end well when he left my house. He took some things that weren't his when he left, and also didn't make child support payments to his ex wife, so the local sheriffs department has come to my house twice with a warrant for his arrest due to his lack of payments. Not only that, but he still hasn't had his address changed, so I'm still receiving some of his mail... all bills that are very delinquent.

My mom informed me all this on Tuesday night. At this point, I think I'm just going to stay at my house for Christmas with my wife, son and friend that is visiting from England, but I don't want to miss seeing my niece and nephew.

At this point, I'm just like...

:) My unemployment claim wen through, but...

:( I fucked up one of the questions (since the job search is waived, I'm supposed to say I DID search for a job and keep a record of it, but I stated that I didn't). Gonna call tomorrow and hope I can get it straightened out, as per my mom's advice

:) Beat Wario Land for GB, via 3DS.

:( Took out more money from my "formerly NYC fund" and am now down to only $15.

Ok, I'm just going to be out my $500 deductible and a hassle of time so it could be worse. I always wanted to visit an insurance adjuster on Christmas Eve! *sigh*

@ Puke and Repo

Merry Christmas to us!

I shouldn't bitch too much though. I didn't lose family members or possessions in other recent events.

Shouldn't that have been disclosed much sooner, thanks to Megan's Law?

Was he arrested or did you find him on the sex offender registry?
