I bought the HORI Fighting Stick EX2 and I'm very happy with it - been playing Ikaruga, Trigger Heart: Exelica, Soul Calibur and 1942: Joint Strike and it's great

Yes. Madcatz is supposedly upping the quality of their products as of late. Only time will tell. Markman is part of the team making them and swears they'll be one of the greatest sticks. Markman is a big arcade stick enthusiast and knows what he's talking about. I got an HRAP3 for the PS3 and an HRAP2 SA for PS2 (with adaptors for XBox and GCN) and my 360 is jealous!baphomet_irl wrote:yeh I think its great but Ill definitely be trying to get my hands on one of those Mad Catz SFIV sticks when they come out - I know Mad Catz are usually :s - but that does look VERY interesting...

I got the Dead or Alive 4 version on clearance at Gamestop for $40 a year and a half ago. At that time it could sell for twice that, but I kept it. Thankfully, HORI made a lot more joysticks for the Xbox 360 since then.baphomet_irl wrote:I bought the HORI Fighting Stick EX2 and I'm very happy with it - been playing Ikaruga, Trigger Heart: Exelica, Soul Calibur and 1942: Joint Strike and it's great
The joystick is much better than the d-pad. Hell, I can't hardly navigate my XBLA menu with the standard d-pad without the menu jumping to the left or right when I'm trying to scroll down - let alone navigate a level of Ikaruga or Trigger Heart Exelica.

yeh I have to say the d-pad on the XboX 360 wins worst d-pad ever hands down IMO
it's atrocious, it makes the Gamecube's seem like a Snes controller or something...

I recommend hori ex2, and 3rd party d-pads tend to suck ; ;
i had a pelican for my ps1 was my fave controller in the world, but it died really early. so i don't trust 3rd party pads anymore.
