I see where they were trying to go with it. Not sure it's really for me. I would have preferred more of a "champ edition" approach where you take the basic skills from the original and amp up the situation and add in some chain scoring or score multipliers.
Glad to see Namco and others doing more of these kinds of updates though. I'll wait it out until Dig Dug Extreme is announced...

I doubt that'll ever come. They've basically transitioned over to the Mr. Driller franchise.
