The European release of Last Window: The Secret of Cape West will probably be valuable because it is the only way to play the game in English. North America never got a localization.

Don't know how much they're going for now, but I fully expect the Mega Man games to become valuable; his games always do. Especially Mega Man Zero Collection.

Anything with Atlus logo as mentioned before, Pokemon of all types, most first party games with Mario in its name are the big ones IMO.
The more niche stuff that came with a soundtrack (See Atlus) like Radiant Historia, Knights in the Nightmare, Luminous Arc 2 and SMT Strange Journey are going to command a premium price.
I think Professor Layton is going to jump soon. And The World Ends With You (TWEWY).

Re: Rare/valuable DS games?
I see the DS - with its "cartridge" based games and large varied library - being the next NES or 2600 from a collector's standpoint. There were also a lot of games - and particularly JRPGs - that seem to have had very limited print runs.
I am not the JRPG fan that I used to be, however, so I am speculating on:
Diamond Trust of London
Electroplankton
Game & Watch Collection
Game & Watch Collection 2
because all of them are good games thate are/were only available through mail order. (I have Diamond Trust and the Game & Watch Collections, but I am still trying to track down Electroplankton.)
There is also a good article on "rare and valuable" DS games at pricecharting.com:

It is a little dated, but some of the "rare and valuable" titles listed in it might surprise you...

Maestro: Jump in Music is a solid rhythm game with a tiny print run. It's also Europe only. Seems dead set to become a collectors piece in my eyes.

Re: Rare/valuable DS games?
What about the european edition of Dementium? I've heard that it fixed a good chunk of the flaws but it's fairly hard to find.
Re: Rare/valuable DS games?
That's really good to know. I had been playing the game a bit on my flash cart but saw prices and was immediately turned off enough that I stopped playing (because what's the point? I'll never actually own it). But if it can be purchased for a reasonable price from the UK- where I will be probably going in Sept or Oct then that's definitely something to look for.ejamer wrote: Interesting note about this one: importing may be a cheap way to get yourself a copy. DS has no region locking, and I was able to buy a brand new copy and have it shipped from Europe for under $20 earlier this year. Prices for Infinite Space in North America are a bit crazy though.
Are there any other similar cases for games? I'm definitely gonna be doing some shopping while I'm there.

I'm not aware of any other pricing deals where you'd save cash by importing, but it might be worth checking to see what region-exclusives you can grab.Yancakes wrote:...

Games you might keep an eye open for in Europe, that didn't get released in North America and are totally worth picking up:
-- Jam with the Band
-- Freshly-Picked Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland
-- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sacrifice
-- Last Window
Most of these have been available for pretty low prices in Europe, although I don't know what pricing/availability will be like that far in the future.
