Overall I think this is going to be a great lineup of games though, no matter how it turns out.

It just has to be this way. Shmups bring out the worst in us

But, this is why us choosing games is awesome. We can all bitch at each other for our choices, political undermindings, etc. Much more thrilling than everyone being cool with the games or just not playing them like last year.

I think the list looks pretty badass, very few games that I would have been sad to see win.

Yeah, I suppose you're right.

Overall, I can say I'm very pleased as well. Looks I gotta get off my ass and get an Arcade Card so I can play Sapphire if it wins.

I sent you a PM to avoid making pointless posts in the thread. Thanks for making one anyway.

Calling you out for your bogus rule is not pointless. Not counting ANY of my votes because I want to abstain in some categories is completely senseless.

I should also note that a few of the categories are currently totaling 15 votes be your count while the rest are 14. Perhaps you really could use some help with addition.

We should make the color scheme of this site blue, eh?

K. Guess I can no longer participate in SotM because bruno is a baby. Have fun dudes!

Since I am supposedly on the "ignore list" my scores wouldn't even count anyway. And that also means that bruno can no longer purchase games from me. Oh well.

Hey brunoafh, keep it simple:

An <Abstain> vote should be counted as a 0 Vote (for all games)--and not a 1 vote (for a game). And, If a tie results in a category, then hold a Run-Off between the top two vote getters.

I agree. 100%. And in fact, I was linked to your post via PM from bruno before he decided to cut me from SOTM altogether.

If he has issues counting, I would even volunteer to count for him. I've done a fair amount of addition in my time.

mjmjr25 wrote:It isn't a half-vote, it's an abstention. I see no problem with someone being indifferent or not wanting to sway the vote one way or the other when they really don't have an opinion or preference.

At least some people are reasonable.

*zako.gif*

Popcorn: (also Cannon Fodder, Zako) Term to refer to common, weak enemies which appear in large numbers at a time during the course of a shmup, but only take a shot or two apiece to destroy, and can thus be taken out in bulk (or “popped”) fairly easily.

Literally, “zako” is the Japanese word for “small fry,” as in fish.
