I actually use a dining room chair. I like to sit up straight and at attention when I play games. I've never been able to lounge and play without feeling like it was making me play poorly.

I don't dispute what is best "health wise" or even "attention-wise", again, what i'm looking for specifically is finding adequate seating for up to (6) people in a confined area.

Even couches w/8-12" arm rests take up too much real estate.

This is a gaming area, but a relaxed gaming area, most of my gaming is done on cabs or custom cabs where you are sitting straight and attentive, this is more relaxed / lounging.

That said, the cozy sac arrived and I opened it early. Not that I couldn't wait, but I was worried it was the wrong item. It came in a 2'x3' box...was wondering how a 8' item arrived in a 3' box. Well...it was vacuum sealed and when the box opens, it immediately begins expanding. Wow - this thing is HUGE, but very easy to move.

We had the entire family on it last night, all (6) of us and it was exactly what we wanted.

The only "downer" is that i'm probably a bit too big (weight wise) and I sink pretty good, despite the very clearly high quality resilient foam. My kids sit on it and it doesn't move, my wife sits on it and she sinks in just a bit, I sit in, and it goes down about 60% of it's height, not terrible, but i'd like a bit more support for myself. I'm 250lbs though, so it is what it is. I'll pop some pics in this thread later tonight.

 I read "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" to my daughter last night, and this sentence made me laugh more than a little bit.

I hope to set up a "game room" when my family moves to a larger house, and I have been following this thread. I am glad you found something that works for your family.

Some pics of the chair:

Seats my family of small children and 2 adults and is pretty cozy. I imagine it ideally seats 4 well, and maybe only 3 "bigger guys", for now and a few years to come, it should serve the purpose.

With no one on it - it is 8' long, 4' Wide and 3.5' high (BIG)

With the kids on it, all 4 of them, it is still pretty big.

If I lay out alone, it is great and would def. be enough for me and 2 buddies - 3 buddies would work, but would be a bit close to each other.

All in all, i'm pleased - it met the criteria, easy to move, seats us all, and fits the space well.

Noise - here's what the chair looks like opened up in my game room (next to my regular office chair).

^thanks RSG -- what I'm still trying to figure out is this: I do all my gaming sitting at my desk in an Ikea folding desk chair.

...so what I need to know is if this chair will be able to replace the desk chair for me. Meaning, when not gaming, can I comfortable sit at my desk in it (or on it if closed?) for y'know... typing, web-browsing, computer stuff? Or will it be too low.

I have the measurements you sent me. And 707 sent me (different) measurements. So I need to try to figure out if it'll make sense to get one of these for my actual set up... I'm already sold on how it looks though. I think they're pretty cool.

Your pic makes it look like it's pretty comparable to the height of your desk chair though, yeah?
