No idea, but i wouldnt want one of those afterburner kits that used to be around, i would want a bleed-less modded backlight, but i cant see it being cheap.

I am guessing you can't just swap screens? I have seen front lit mods, I can't speak from experience but I guess people say it don't look to bad.

Some one posted a thread not to long ago. They swapped the screens, but it's not that simple. IIRC, they had a special ribbon cable purchased from some Chinese site. It's a cable that will allow you to use the SP screen on the original GBA. It looked awesome in the pics shown. I would love to do it myself, but I'm not a fan of ordering from random sites. Also, time.
