Skyrim Graphics Mods

Post by Frag Mortuus »

I've recently gotten back into Skyrim after about 10 or 11 months of not playing. I got discouraged after my game save got lost. I use a program called GameSave Manager which backs up all of my game saves so just in case my computer crashes I won't lose my game saves. Anyway, it wasn't grabbing Skyrim, my PC crashed, I reinstalled Windows and used GameSave Manager to reload my game saves only to find out that Skyrim wasn't being backed up. At the time, I just didn't have the heart to start over after losing 90hrs worth of work.

Well, I recently got back into it and I decided to make the game look as good as it can. I followed some lists online about which mods were the best and I have really gotten my install looking beautiful.

Here are some screen shots of what it looks like:

I was really impressed with what these modders have done.

Anyway, I thought you all may be interested.

Similar story here. Lost a ps3 save with ~ 60 hours.

I plan on starting again too. Love this game. To bad I have my graphics wouldn't look quite as good as that.

Chupon: My wife is playing on the XB360 as I type this. I'm sitting in front of my PC with a big monitor in a chair from our dinner table with headphones. When I play my game it looks absolutely amazing. I look at her and she is lounging in the reclining sofa playing on a 65" TV with a pretty high end audio setup, but her game looks FAR worse than mine. I honestly don't know who wins,

J T: Those are gorgeous. I think they look better than mine. Are you doing any touch ups afterwards? Also, how do you remove the HUD? Lastly, what are your PC specs?

Those are not touched up. I take the screenshots with the Steam client. The HUD can be removed by going into your Options in-game and setting "HUD Opacity" to zero. It's hard to play the game that way, but if I really want to grab some nice screens, then I'll turn it off.

DeadEndThrills stuff is totally amazing. He puts a lot of work into each shot. Sometimes with his games running at unplayable framerates for just the perfect picture. He uses a lot of custom mods and usually has access to the dev console commands. To be honest, I don't know how he does everything he does, but his screenshots are clearly some of the best out there.
