Well, learn something new every day. I've always avoided it since the polarity was different; figuring that even if the picture did come through it be bad leaving it plugged in.Gunstar Green wrote:The NES has a bridge rectifier built into it. The NES can handle a wide variety of power sources as long as you don't go over at most 10 volts.

CIB Kirby and TMNT III. $10 total from a local deal. The box isn't in top condition, but that's fine with me. I'll just give it to one of my friends who collects boxes.

Hit up the fleamarket today.
Cold and looking like it was gonna rain.
A lady seller there kinda knows that I like videogames, so she told me that she had an atari 2600 and stuff.
They were dirty and I didn't care for them. She also had games in the same bin. She had about 10-15 games in there. But they were so messed up I didnt take them. Faded labels and some all black completely missing their labels. I did find two complete cart games. Some that I've never seen before. So I took them.
$5.00 for both Deadly Duck and Spitfire Attack. Atari Age says they're level 4 rare. So thats nice.
Found Sonic the Hedgehog not for resale in its box but no manual for $3.00.
At the Salvation army I then got the prima strategy guide for CRYSIS for $1.00
I am pleased with the atari games. Never owned them before.

Thanks. The guy I bought them from advertized an NES lot with the Power Pad, a couple Zappers and 35 games for $50.AppleQueso wrote:Awesome deal for two of the best games on the NES!Breetai wrote: CIB Kirby and TMNT III. $10 total from a local deal. I was happy, since those two games were the main once I would have kept from that lot.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Thanks! Your collection inspired me to start picking up long boxes. (I did not want them initially because they did not "fit" with the rest of my PS1 collection.) I have had a lot of fun tracking them down - and there are so many good games that are long box "exclusives" - that I recently decided to try finding them all.
I now have about 46 complete long box titles, including some of the rarer/more expensive titles like Resident Evil, Return Fire, Silverload, and X-COM. I suspect that my collection will increase pretty quickly as I add inexpensive sports games to it before leveling out while I track down the remaining rare/expensive titles.

Since I got my hands on the Wii U not too long back I am taking the opportunity to get my hands on some Wii games I missed out on. (My Wii's disc drive broke several months back
)
Anyway, my local Best Buy price matched Amazon for a new copy of The Last Story - got the nice first run edition with artbook and awesome packaging for $30, which was $20 less than the asking price at my BB.
Since I saved $20 I decided to also grab a copy of New Play Control Pikmin 2 because I have been wanting to replay it during the wait for Pikmin 3, and experience Pikmin with the pointer controls
