Smiled - On an important internal training document for my company that I made several years ago I used a whole bunch of Dune characters as the customer names. It lasted six years now before anyone said anything. The one that gave it away wasnt an Atreides or Harkonnen either, it was Wellington Yeuh of all people...

Ticked - Corporate wants to talk to me about it today. It could actually be a good thing and not a ticked thing, but whenever Corporate wants to talk I get worried.

I'm still worried about the possible unemployment snafu, since I literally have no other options if I can't collect unemployment. I can't afford to move to a new town, though I could transfer to another Food Lion, and stay with a relative, but I have to pretty much hope that they have a place for me AND that the Food Lion location will offer more hours, but hoping for the best-case scenario is usually the least likely.

I mean, I haven't been on the schedule since shortly after Thanksgiving, and there's still a good chance that I won't be on the schedule next week, thus marking TWO pay periods in a row without any income.

And my so-called "New York City Fund" has dwindled from a decent $550 to a pitiful $70, and I don't see an opportunity to replenish it at least until mid/late-Spring.

Hopefully, by this time next year I'll be living in New York City, busting my ass working a combined 50+ hours just to afford renting a cheap room for $500 where I'll eat ramen in thrift-store clothes and hope my marrow doesn't have anything that affects its value.

Sucks man. No other job opportunities you can jump to? Gotta be something else, even if not optimal for the time being.

:) - Was at an Ollie's last night and got Otomedius Excellent brand-new for $15.

I've heard mixed reviews about it, but at that price, I figured I'd bite.

Nothing. The only places that are open in the winter already have their positions filled. You don't typically see "Help Wanted" signs on the Outer Banks in the winter. That's because we're a resort community whose only major industry is tourism, and no one wants to come to the beach during the winter.

:D : Went to Disney's Hollywood Studios yesterday to see the Osborne lights. I haven't been there in years.

:? : There's a reason I haven't been there in years. After all this time it's still my least favorite park. I'm just not a show person, I guess. Other than the rollercoaster and the Tower of Terror I could really care less about that park.

:D : The Lights were beautiful, though. So I'm not disappointed.

:( : That shooting today...just......damn.
