Nit Picking on the WII U? thoughts....
Re: Nit Picking on the WII U? thoughts....
I'd surprised the WiiU ones aren't any different honestly.

No, I've bought too many Sanyo Eneloops to change now!Reprise wrote:I agree! I've been saying the same thing.ZenErik wrote:I wish they'd re-release the Wii remotes w/ built in battery packs. Bravo Nintendo!

I just purchased a dozen. How well do they hold a charge with Wii remotes? Will also be using them in my 360 controller.Jamisonia wrote:

They had a new System Update and an update to Sonic Transformed All Stars. I tried to play Sonic but it wouldn't even let me launch the game until I downloaded and installed the system and the software update. That's stupid. I can understand not being allowed online until the updates are applied, but not being able to play the game at all? Nintendo's servers are awfully slow at supplying the download. They trickle down like a clogged prostate.
I'm also disappointed that Nintendo has chosen the Download and Install method of the PS3 for software. I like how the Xbox 360 is Download and YOU'RE DONE (system updates excluded). Updating games or downloading stuff on the 360 is so quick, but on the PS3 and Wii U they also have to install which takes almost as long as the download itself. And then of course after the updates, Sonic froze on that first screen it shows as it boots, just looping the music again and again. I had to pull the plug from the system.
Not sure what the updates changed, but I'd like to know.

It fixed the missing goals in the drift challenges. That sucks about having to unplug. I haven't had a problem with my console since the first week. Did you change Miiverse to English only? Maybe that still helps even after the last update.

They last so long I honestly couldn't tell you. Maybe too late but I would recommend getting a different charger. The Sanyo Charger isn't that good. Any of the Sony Cycle Energy Chargers are good, but this one is especially:
This charger looks at each battery individually so it never overcharges. The Sanyo one only looks at the batteries in pairs, so if two batteries are not discharged evenly when you begin charging, one battery will be overcharged, thereby shortening the lifespan of the battery. The Sony one also gives you an individual indicator for each battery so if one or two are charged you can use them immediately while the other ones continue to charge. Additionally it has a refresh function which is good for when batteries start to lose capacity. Just a thought. But definitely use a smart charger with your Eneloops so they last a long long time.
Its just a shame like the NLee The Engineeer reviewer comments that the world's best rechargeable batteries comes with a mediocre semi-smart charger.

Thanks for the info. I did get one of the Sanyo chargers because it's got to be better than the eBay one I had. But I will certainly look in to getting a better one after Christmas is over.Jamisonia wrote:ZenErik wrote:I just purchased a dozen. How well do they hold a charge with Wii remotes? If you want a really good charger, buy a Powerex MH-C9000.

Powerex was recommended by a friend and will certainly be taken into consideration. I was also considering Powerex batteries but heard more good things about the envelopselmagicochrisg wrote:If you want a really good charger, buy a Powerex MH-C9000.
