Well im considering it... again.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I like the idea, but I'm afraid my execution will not be as thorough as you guys. My worry is that the game will turn out to be a dog, and at the first sign of that happening I run away to a more familiar game, leaving the new backup gathering dust. Still, it might be worth a try... I have been playing more of PSO this evening and it is rather good! Might just keep going with that... although I did sell my MAG :cry:
Haha--and there in lies the difficulty with the system. It can some times take an iron will to stick with a rather bad game for a month, a week, or even a few days. In the end it will make you stronger though, or just drive you so insane you won't care any more. I believe enough games have driven me into the latter category.

That would be a shame, I quite like my sanity...

Well it's a relative concept anyway. You won't even notice when it's gone.

My grad school topic suddenly comes to mind...

Hey, it's not so bad. I've played a lot of bad games...many for far longer than I should have...and if nothing else, it will help you appreciate the good ones all the more. Plus you can really pick apart a bad title, see why it doesn't work and compare it to something that does so you have a much better understanding of games in general. And you might just find something to like in that bad game, too.

I'm still not convinced, having to sit down and force yourself to find something you like in a game suggests that you aren't having fun. And playing games without the fun is just pressing buttons... Which helpfully brings me back on topic to say to Ryan that if he wants to play a new game he should go play it, not ask the opinion of a very biased forum on whether he should stay doing something that he obviously is not enjoying as much at the moment.

To be honest Ryan, I sometimes wonder if you are actually a 25 yr old man posting on these forums just to wind some of us up!

Seriously....just sell them already. Who cares? you like what you like, and if it's pc gaming that stick to it. As Niode said alot of us grew up with older systems and nostagia is a big part of playing retro games. I'm not being agist and tell you that because you're 14 you can't enjoy retro games...not at all. Of coarse you can. But if you don't care about having a wall of carts and popping your games in an actual console who cares. I already told you last time that you shouldn't sell them and you'd just be buying everything back eventually, and you didin't listen. SO emulate, play online, pc game, do what ever is fun to you. You'll be moving towards being less materialistic and that's a rare thing.

Ohhh....and what's up with you're Bill Gates man crush?

lol no im 14 (i turn 15 in october YAY) but I do enjoy chaos. Its in human blood, w/o chaos the world can seem empty. And I am really starting to notice the high ammounts of bias in this forum (its very well hidden). But the bias higherarchy seems to go along the lines of...

Sega=Nintendo=Atari=EverythingElse> modern stuff =P.
Older. Not wiser.

But you know; then there are those strange ones that don't really fit into a black and white, good/bad dichotomy. Shining the Holy Ark comes to mind. In my opinion (and those of a few friends of mine) this game is just insanely maddening, but we know it's a good game. It has all of the signs of a good game and it's an incredibly deep experience, but my god does it possess the ability to drive you insane. I had to have the moral support of close friends to get me through this but we still laugh about it in retrospect.

Then again, I have another friend who has played through it several times and thinks I'm crazy for looking at the game this way, so to each her own.

It's only because nobody ever mentions the awesomeness that is Dead Rising that you think we hate modern stuff, Ryan.
