Ha, I'm guilty of this. Played through Ys on the Turbo CD, and thought I should take a break before jumping into the 2nd game... and I no longer have the game or system. Its a shame, I really really liked the first one, and I wish I would have just jumped right into the 2nd.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I'm always shocked to see how many people have beaten Ys I, but haven't bothered with part II - especially if they're on the same disc!Shabba wrote:Shadowrun on the SNES is my current favorite and im just starting Y's Book 2 on my turboduo after beating darkfact for the billionth time in 20 or so years in Book 1.
Ys II is a much better game.
What RPG are you playing right now?

Especially since part II takes like 8 hours to complete.
The DS and PSP Ys I & II collections are really good.
I've played through Ys I-VII several times each, but I'm a bit of a fanatic.

I wish I could play a handheld for more than 15 minutes. Yeah, one thing I loved about the first game was how short it was. I think it took me about 8 hours. Something I would definitely play through again. The music was great as well.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Especially since part II takes like 8 hours to complete.![]()

I have Ys III for the SNES, and a translated rom of Ys IV from the sfc, but I have been hesitant to start them up, since A) I haven't played YsII, and B) I've heard the SFC games are completely different than the Turbo series.
I guess I could finally figure out how to get Turbo CD games to work on my Wii.

Are you talking about ISO files? I don't think the Wii can read actual CDs, but I could be wrong.dunpeal2064 wrote: I guess I could finally figure out how to get Turbo CD games to work on my Wii.
I use Magic Engine on a PC for Turbo CD emulation - it's the only emulator I've ever paid for.
There is, of course, the Virtual Console too...

Just got the last ending of Valkyrie Profile: Covenant Of The Plume. I was expecting some incredible ending that justified the whole experience, but it didn't happen this time around.
It was kind of fun. Challenging at times. But it could have been so much more...Never mind, it sucked. No one buy this game.

Been playing the Dawn of Souls version of Final Fantasy recently. I got it for Christmas some years back from my brother, and let a friend of mine borrow it. When I finally got it back, his kid had saved over my file (I was at the Volcano area). Right now, I just got the airship.

Playing through Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It's alright. The basic game isw your usual great paper mario stuff, but the battle system seems kinda pointless. Battles get you coins which you use to buy more stickers to use in battles. Only, without any other benefit from battles, what exactly is the point? You can just ignore most battles entirely and there will be no downside to that at all.

The instruction manual itself suggests standing outside an inn and spamming magic to level it up. Doesn't sound like fun to me.dunpeal2064 wrote:I'm trying to use buffs, but I guess I need to go grind out levels for each style of magic, because the buffs are too weak.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):
