The Watchmaker of St. Paul

Film remains an unrivalled art when it comes to storytelling. It's like a framed time capsule, portraying a world that no longer exists. Flawless drama.

The Raid: Redemption. Good, but I'd rather play the game... oh wait there is none, excluding the better part of 30 years' worth of arcade brawlers and games inspired by such.

Seriously... this SHOULD have been an arcade-style brawler, in the tradition of Final Fight, but with guns.

Blood In Blood Out

The one film throughout high school where me and some friends would watch it over and over and just laugh our asses off.

Seven Psychopaths.

Thought this film was very good, some brilliant performances from Woody Harrelson and Christopher Walken. The crazy but likeable personalities suit them to a tee. Colin Farrell was good but the drunk Irishman with an overlooked talent (in this case for writing) seemed a bit cliched. But the film rolled along nicely, plenty of laugh out loud moments, although it was more Fargo than In Bruges. It was surprisingly gory for a 15-rated film, particularly the gruesome throat-slitting scenes but there was some great characters in this. I hope the Vietnamese guy gets a spin-off of some sort, love the idea of
a Buddhist monk murdering American war veterans one by one.

Great film, especially if you have a dark sense of humour. 9/10.

He plays Graff. It was announced the day before I got to meet him at a dinner so I asked him about it and he said it was a fun one to work on but its no Star Wars. Which I was later told by several who knew him very well that that was his way of making a joke.

Hm, has Rackham's casting been announced? As I typed this response I thought of Robert Carlyle being good for the part. I don't know why.

I honestly don't mind Ender being a little older. And I really hope Card stuck to his guns about having no love interest for Ender. Novinha is the only woman for him, lol.

edit: Just saw that it's Ben Kingsley as Rackham. Abigail Breslin will be Val, which I don't really see, but I suppose it might work.
