hate to get off topic but why is mega man 5 so much more expensive than the rest? one would think either the first or the last would be the more pricey one.

RC ProAm 2 is a fun little title, but mostly if you play it four player. Its worth the $40ish it goes for loose. I need to finally pick up a copy myself.

This is just one of those instances where you have to ask "what kind of collector am I?"

Rare games don't do much for me - I hate spending over $20 for loose carts, especially if I can emulate or find a compilation disc.

But if you're the type who enjoys collecting rare items and has the disposable income - go for it!

Oh, and Mega Man 5 is somewhat valuable now? It's the only Mega Man I have! I'd like to get part 2 eventually...

5 is the most expensive of the NES games. I still need it and 6 personally.

I like my NES carts medium rare.

There is no problem with wanting to display rare and collectible games, but I agree if you simply want to play the games, emulate them. If you have fond memories of say Bubble Bobble 2, for sure you should go and seek it out, but if you just want to play a game for the sake of playing it you are putting a big dent in your wallet.

And if you're shelling out lots of cash for a game, at least make sure it is a good'n. I'd take Blaster Master over Bubble Bobble 2 any given day.

Luke,
I totally get what your talking about. I would pay 3.00 for blaster master over 250.00 for bubble bobble and would probally be more happy playing blaster master.
I was just thinking this thru at work today during lunch break and thru pricecharts.com  :o :( I can't believe how much people are willing to pay for these nes games. It would almost cost over 500.00+ dollars to get these games. I would feel soo bad that I spent that kind of money on the nes. If I'm ever lucky to find these games thru a thrift store then no problem a few dollars but ebay forget it. I will just hook my Modded xbox back up.

I do want to know one thing from you guys. Since I own the gamecube and I also own the hori gamecube/ gameboy player controller,Is it worth at least getting the mega man's on the nes since I own 2 and 6 or just buy the mega man x collection and mega man collection for the cube with the price of mega man and mega man 5?

even though i collect games i find it much more convienent to actually play cartridge based games via an emulator on my wii. They make adaptors that let you use real snes, nes, and genesis controller so you really cant tell the difference at all.

This is completely just an opinion but I can't really see any game being worth $100+. Especially a game like Snow Brothers that I'd probably only play for 10-15 minutes at a time (if that). I think emulation would definitely be the way to go. Besides, as indecisive as you are, you'd probably want to sell them later on to fund for whatever you're interested in that week anyway, so you could just save yourself the hassle and not get them in the first place.
