want to get some rare nes carts.

Post by mas »

I want to get some rare nes carts but the only way I'm thinking of doing this is to get rid of a few titles for quick cash or save and get a game every other month or so. Since the games that I want to get are rare like ducktales 2 or rescue rangers 2 or bonks or bubble bobble 2, has anybody ever played these games and say its worth the price? I want to get a lot of capcom rare games so if anyone owns these games or played them let me know what you recommend on getting.

SAVE, don't get rid of something you might want to keep and play.

All the games you mentioned are decent games. But worth the price just for the gameplay? Not by a long shot. Pretty much any of the rarer titles that has a number 2 on the end isn't as good as the first, and significantly cheaper game in the series. Bubble Bobble is better than BB2, Rescue Rangers is better than RR2, Duck Tales is better than DT2, Power Blade is better than PB2, etc.

Of course thats all my opinion, and if you are interesting in collecting as well as playing its much easier to justify the cost of some of the games you might be looking at.

Some of the obscure games that are really good and aren't a sequel you might want to check out are: Little Samson, Zombie Nation, Fire 'N Ice, Snow Brothers, Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball, Dragon Fighter or Gun-Nac.

I will be putting a copy of Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball up for sale during the Racketboy charity auction, and I do hope that you will consider bidding on it. (It really is a fun game!)

Why do you want to get some rare carts? Because they are rare and to have them in your collection? Because you liked the previous installments and want to play them? Some other reason? This is a question you should ask yourself.

I would say it's a probably a good idea to try them emulated then first since they're so pricy. Though the original TG16/PCE Bonk was released for Wii download, wasn't it?

I'm pretty sure you could just buy a TurboGrafx-16 and a copy of Bonk's Adventure for that for way less than the NES version sells for.

I'd say that Tengen Tetris and the Mega Man games are worth it (and none of them are really all that pricey either.)

I honestly don't know enough about the rest to say anything on them.
