I loooooooved this series. It was a blind purchase for me and I watched the entire series within 24 hours.
It was so bizarre. The only real problem is that it only went through half the manga. You know the anime's ending was strange. Lucy gets shot...or doesn't...or...everyone is eating...what?
So, I downloaded the manga which has been fan translated by this point. I don't like manga very much but this is one is awesome. I haven't even gotten to the halfway point yet but if you don't know how it ends you should try it out.

If by that you mean it was complete drek, I'm inclined to agree. It seems to be one of those really polarizing shows, plenty of people love it, but I hated everything about it. It's one of the worst animes I've seen by a pretty large margin.
