Gotta check out the GameBoy version, too as I've only been hearing good things.

There was also an Famicom remake with Hello Kitty slapped on there; it has a larger resolution and color graphics. I'm not sure how the Game Boy version compares but I know this Famicom version of Balloon Kid has really choppy scrolling and doesn't control as smoothly as the first Balloon Fight on NES. I might have to check out the Game Boy version myself!

Balloon Fight is indeed awesome I have to say; definitely harkens back to those classic early 80's Nintendo arcade-style games.
