How about Frank Miller's The Spirit?

Post by Whatupdoc? »

Does anyone think this is going to be an amazing movie? I think it looks like good ol' frank is gonna kill the old will eisner stories. so innocent but yet so humorous. I dunno it looks like it might turn out to be more of a "romance" if you can call it that then a great action adventure movie. I must say though Samuel L. Jackson is totally packing in the newest trailer. Any thoughts?

Yeah, I know, I used to visit a comic book movie website pretty often. E. Favata's Comic Book Movies. Had a pretty good crowd in the forums, but a lot of the folks I liked talking to had to quit and some of the newer folks I didn't really care for.

Frank Miller is making The Spirit dark and edgy... the Spirit is far from from dark: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spirit
Someone said Sin City 2 - thats close... Miller is taking a 1940's detective/vigilante and placing him into a current day over the top crime filled city like seen in Sin City.
As a comic book fan, and a fan of Miller's past work, I am skeptical... but I will probably be at the theater opening weekend.

it should be interesting in the least I think it would be interesting if Miller redid Dick Tracy not that the most recent was bad but it would be interesting.
