Durarara and Higurashi. Both were amazing.

galaxy railways
Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
How is Galaxy Railways? I really like Leiji Matsumoto's style. I've seen the original Captain Harlock, some of the Galaxy Express 999 manga, and Interstella 5555.
I've been watching more Gundam, very possibly as much Gundam as I'm ever going to see because I hate watching things on my computer. I'm going to go ahead and say that Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket is my favorite in the franchise. On the other hand, Gundam F91 is pretty awful.
I'm currently watching the original Lupin III series. The first part is my favorite style of Lupin, the crazy, trippy, "for adults" Lupin. Of course, even though I'm not a huge fan of how Miyazaki/Takahata portray the character, they're still responsible for some very fun episodes.

I've been convinced to watch Azumanga Daioh. As far as the slice of life/comedy/school Animes go this is good but it won't be taking the top spot in my list.

Its good, the characters are well done, it has a mix of different things going on and isnt just killing people straight through, never watched the original 999 series from the 70s, other than personalities of characters, and design havent heard to mush of a comparison. They were similar though.

The new JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series that's airing is fantastic.
I liked it well enough, but I feel like it's one of Tomino's weaker shows. It has like the best OP ever and the ending was great, but the pacing is really bad and there aren't really any memorable characters. Not a bad series at all but I prefer his other 80s shows by quite a bit. Good luck with the OVAs though, they're all pretty crappy.garrett123 wrote:Aura Battler Dunbine
I thought it started out really good, but it never really went anywhere and often didn't make too much sense. It was originally planned to be a 50 episode series but for whatever reason the plug got pulled, so all we got is the patchwork movie. The manga that's a sequel to it, Crossbone Gundam, looks really cool though.Nemoide wrote:Gundam F91 is pretty awful.

Just finished watching Cowboy Bebop from start to finish for the first time. I liked it a lot, definitely entertaining throughout, but I wish there was more of a continuous story throughout all the episodes, instead of just 4 or 5 episodes that had to do with Vicious and Julia. That combined with the fact that I already knew from the beginning meant that I didn't feel much when the series came to a close.
