That's about $1 more than I'd probably pay for a bunch of pokemon cards

I was a touch too old when Pokémon Red and Blue were released to get swept up by that whole trend. Nothing against the series - I just never got into it. I do have a couple of decks of cards (got most of them free at cons), but I never learned how to play.

Shame, it's a fun little game. Far too expensive to be competitive at though for my liking, I wish they had released more digital versions like Pokémon TCG for GBC.

I got plenty swept up by the trend, played Pokemon Red to death, etc. I just thought the card game seemed dumb. I felt the same way when Yu Gi Oh got popular.

I traded random cards I had for N64 games from other friends... so I think I did well there, lol.

But yeah never got too into it all around. Loved Pokemon Blue but that was it for me.

My girlfriend has never watched anything TMNT. Should I introduce her to the franchise with the first live action movie or the first season of the '87 cartoon?

I haven't seen the show in ages. So I'd probably say give the movie a shot first, then transition to the series.
