I love coming across some of y'alls zombie corpses in game and getting some supplies. It is a nice touch. I also killed a 'zombi u dev' zombie today which is what I guess the whole 'meet up Wednesday' thing was about. Oddly in the small crawl space I found him in at the palace there was a couple paintings tucked away and one of them was of cartoon characters which I found to be humorous. I am loving this game. The tension is great and it is pretty damn hard.

Have you guys downloaded the UPlay app in the eShop? So far I got enough points to get the 80's logo which I don't like that much and my cricket bat now has 'Punks not dead' written on it. Not sure if I like that either. The new two player mode might be cool though. Either way it is nice that Ubisoft is putting in some effort. I really liked the Zombi U Dev thing on Wednesday.

I got my Wii U yesterday and so far I am loving this game. I agree with others that this plays much more like an old-school Survival Horror game than most recent games in the genre.

It's such a thrill trying to survive, conserve resources and spend most of your time battering zombies with a cricket bat rather than going in all guns blazing.

Wow, I was doing really well up until I wrote that post above, and then I do terrible haha.

So quick question... If I die, respawn as a new person, but then die again before I can loot my stuff back off my old zombified self, do I lose that stuff forever? If so...

You lose the stuff on the first person. Guns can be found again in their original spots though and you get a good supply of stuff going without too much difficulty.

Fair enough. I was going through the game feeling awesome, thinking I was really good, since I hadn't died. That was at the point I posted that first post. Since then I've died about a billion million times. Literally can't stop dieing

I'm on my 13th survivor I believe. My best one had a score of a bit over 2000. I see the names on the wall with people getting survivors with scores of 8000. After I finish the game I'd like to try survivor mode but I just imagine getting far into the game and then dying. It would probably piss me off.

I actually restarted my game because I was just getting killed over and over again the first time. Now having a better sense of the game and knowing what to avoid I'm doing ok. I'm stocking more supplies at my main base and making sure I locate the manhole shortcuts and save rooms so I don't screw myself.

I considered restarting the game, but slowly I have gathered a decent stock of items up and have got myself out of the "argh shit, I have no resources and a billions of zombies to face" stage.

I love how much thought has to go into survival. You can't rush into things and if you do, you will be punished. The game kind of reminds me of Dark Souls.
