You'll find the city of Chicago flag all over the city. In businesses and homes alike. Besides that, College towns are big on those flags that clip onto car windows, but that's about it.

There must be a pattern here. In Brazil, the only states in which people fly the state flag are the former secessionist ones (Pernambuco, where I live, Rio Grande do Sul, and Minas Gerais). And in this case there are no slavery undertones.
