Where are those numbers from? Xbox sold 750k on black friday week and PS3 sold 550k in roughly the same time frame.. From their own PRs mind you.. Both blew Wii out of the water.. Wii U had limited stock and 440k is a very good launch IMO.. Wii is pretty much saturated... I forsee both Xbox and PS3 closing in on Wii until both successors are announced..

Yeah, Sony and MS had a good weekend. $200 for a PS3 and 4 games is a good deal. If I wouldn't have bought a Wii U plus a bunch of Wii U and Wii games recently I probably would have picked one up. I'll get one eventually.

Haha didn't read your response to Jay Red.. And he is right.. The Wii is struggling now.. Wii U had a successful launch indeed and one of the best launch libraries in a very long time.. The OS and freezing issues needs to be patched though..

Agreed. It hasn't been bad for me. Only a few freezes that took half a min to fix but really they shouldn't be happening and I understand it pissing people off and turn off those who were on the fence. Hopefully they do something soon.

It's important to remember that I live in Utah. The people here are very price sensitive in general.

I have not had any more freezes since the first few days after release. I have put in many hours into Zombi U, as well as other games, and it has not happened again. Not sure if I am just lucky or what.

And I did totally miss that those numbers posted last page were launch, I thought it was the past 2 weeks sold lol.

I had read that if you change language setting in Miiverse to English only it was suppose to stop the freezes. Sounds like some BS thing to me but I did it anyhow. I have not had any freezes in Zombi U either.

I've had a total of two freezes, only one of which necessitated unplugging the console. Both freezes were due to network based things though. Definitely watchable with a software update.

I'd say this launch was actually pretty smooth all things considered.

I dropped another $40 on my Wii U today in order to buy Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed. So far it's a blast. I've heard there are some pretty bad bugs at the moment but they are supposedly working on a patch for it. Highly recommend to any Kart-racer fans, or even Sega fans. They really packed this game full of fanservice.

(Now if I could just figure out what the hell Danica Patrick is doing in this game)
