Re: Games Acquired 2012
Best Goodwill pick up ever! Got a Commodore 64 for $4! It was only the unit itself, so I have to find a power-cord online to see if it works, and probably pay and arm and a leg for shipping since it's a brick. But how else am I gonna get one?
Here's to hoping it works. I've missed my C64 ever since it got the dreaded black-screen of death.
I also got:
-Earthworm Jim (Genesis)
-Gargoyles (Genesis)
-T2: The Arcade Game (SNES)
Along with a book and a DVD and the C64 for a grand total of $19.

The manual for Might and Magic: Gates to Another World on the Genesis is pretty hulking too, about 5/8 of an inch. I was surprised the first time I saw it. I'd never seen one that thick before.BurningDoom wrote:-Eternal Champions (Genesis) - Complete with a surprisingly large and in-depth game manual.

Consoles: 2 (both PSPs) - £96
Games:
January: 15 games - £59.57
February: 7 games - £23.27
March: 10 games - £31
April: 1 game - £5.40
May: 8 games - £56.30
June: 3 games - £17
July: 9 games - £31.50
August: 8 games - £14.49
September: 4 games - £8
October: 7 games - £38.67
Year so far:
November:
Pinball: Revenge of the 'Gator GB - £1.64
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask 3DS - £29.99
Alleyway GB - Free
Kirby's Block Ball GB - £3.03
Sam & Max Hit The Road PC - £7.20
Total: 5 games - £41.86
Revenge of the Gator, Kirby's Block Ball and Sam & Max were all eBay purchases, and the price includes postage. Alleyway was accidently sent out instead of Block Ball, so the seller let me keep it for free and sent out the replacement, which was nice of him. Prof Layton was an Amazon purchase. Not a big buying month, but actually kinda pricy. I expect a decent amount to add next month, but not a huge cost, thanks to my birthday and Christmas.

Well that was nice!alienjesus wrote:Alleyway was accidently sent out instead of Block Ball, so the seller let me keep it for free and sent out the replacement, which was nice of him.
Last year I ordered a WonderSwan Color from an Amazon seller, but got a regular WonderSwan instead. When all was said and done I was able to keep the WonderSwan and get a full refund. That wasn't due to the niceness of the seller unfortunately, Amazon had to intervene.
December will be a slow month for me. I don't plan to buy anything for myself, but I should at least get a couple of games as XMas gifts.

Games Acquired 2012
January : 74 (added) / 24 (sold or traded away)
February: (added) 18 / 1 (sold or traded away)
March: 34 (added)/0 (sold or traded away)
April: 6 (added)/ 0 (sold or traded away)
May: 17 (added) / 1 (sold or traded away)

September: 26 (added) /17 (sold or traded away)

November: 31 (added) / 0 (sold or traded away)
Once again just a few physical-release additions this month (the two 360 games) and hardly anything that can really count as a retro game. I am currently finagling a deal that would put my December "games added" total far above the rest of the months from 2012 combined, so that should be interesting if it pans out...
