DoOM
it has the best version of the level 3 song. Plus the demons or imps make that booger nosed snort-snit-snort noise. Old doom really seems to make the death of your enemys pure suffering, and Unlike the xbox version when mutalated body of an enemy falls -- it stays. spilled entrials and all (sprite pixels yes, but entrials)
Knuckles,
Cosmic Carnage- it scrolled in and out like sameri show down and had armor that could be replaced and broken off. I really dug the music. Im humming that space ninjas theme right now.
a weird love for that Mech game, what was it called? Metal Head or something.
StarWars was cool. the tunes sucked. Its like they used all the memory the cartridge had for tha intro and had squat for the rest of the game.
Virtra Fighter was a blast. No need to buy a six button pad- the game only needed 3.
sure it was goofy looking but the work put into the animation of its charactors was brain smashing. Id say it was the only 3D fighting game I have ever played that acutally made every punch, kick, and body slam look painfull as hell. My favorete songs where from the stages with that chinese girl in the blue suit and that wolf wrestler dude. The combos where cool and really made it so you had to know when and what the hell you where doing to pull them off. Not some cop out Mortal KOmbat 3 push buttons in this order to pull a 30 hit combo, im talking Olympic Gamer hands skills.
Darxide- I just found this floating around on the net. I dont think it was released in the us. Its a flying Starfox kind of game. Its really cool. Problably the best control in a flying game since Starfox 64. Its smooth, you shoot things, its worth a shot. I have not had time to acutally sit down and try and beat it.
Stupid sega and there systems they dump on ya and leave behind.
I feel so used and unwanted. sniff.

Mortal Kombat II - I love how they included all the arcade story screens. I can't remember though, if it had the "Now the Kombat Kontinues..." sequence.
Star Wars Arcade - Sure, the game is on rails, and harder than hell (never got past the second level, I die at the same place every time, no matter how hard I try, surely I'm not the only one!) But, it's Star Wars, and it's just cool.
Virtua Fighter - Awesome control!
That's my favorites that I can remember at the moment. I never cared for 32X Doom; I cut my teeth on the Jaguar version, and the 32X version just doesn't compare, even with the original in-level music.

Amen brother. The Space Ninjas theme is AWSOME. The taiko/industrial sounding drums rock my world like nothing else. I wish more more fighting games had music that got you pumped up like that.
...and I still want to get Afterburner for the 32X if only to get SOME usage out of my 32X. lol

The only real reason to get one is so you can start humming the space ninja's theme in Cosmic Carnage and be cool like us.
Actually, it MIGHT be worth getting. There's at least a few good games for it and the system and the games come pretty cheap I think, at least in 2nd hand stores. (People always seem to be wanting to get rid of their 32X.)
I'm not too sure about what sort of prices they get on eBay though.
I guess if your bored with your current systems or just looking for something new to play, then a 32X might make an interesting diversion.
BTW has anyone here played Shadow Squadron? I heard it's supposed to be pretty good.

It's OFFICIAL. Shadow Squadron is pretty good!
I don't play very many space shooters but this one managed to get me hooked. The control is really good (for "Feather 1" at least) and the simple polygon graphics move at a nice smooth frame rate. Most importantly, its also a lot of fun to play!
It does get pretty tough though. So far I've only made it up to the last level on EASY mode.
Overall, it's a solid title for the 32X that would make a worthy addition to your collection.
The cool thing is that its a relatively inexpensive game. (I got my copy new and sealed for like 7$ including shipping! Dogoon!)
