From the top of the stem down.
Now I peel them like a monkey.

I just bite the tip in half and start peeling from there...

But I wouldn't say that's the right or wrong way. Just a way...

Not like bananas come with a manual or anything...

I learned that earlier this year. It works like 90% of the time. Pretty neat.

Well dang. That's gonna be a hard habit to break.

I don't eat bananas all that often, but I don't see the issue with peeling from the stem. I don't really ever remember having that much trouble or "mushing up" the end if the banana was in the appropriately ripe stage.

This could have simply been a PM to retrosportsgamer, but this is a thread fort sharing.

The Regulation Of Sports Equipment.

I can't tell if it's simply a cash cow, a good ol' boy operation, or actually for the betterment of a game. If I had the free time I'd go on a diatribe on this subject, but it captivates my interest.

Gone are the days of coaches (lookin'atchew Barry Melrose) befuddled at a penalty for an illegally curved hockey stick blade. Why can athletes use their own equipment in some sports, and not in others? Not saying that Shaq should have been allowed to use a ping pong sized ball for free throws, but there is no issue with playing pool with a customized cue (pool stick thingy - Uncle Phil). And now, out of all "sports", anchor putters are being banned at the professional level. This is a sport with equipment restrictions that are rarely challenged.

It'd be great if major league sports didn't prevent better sports equipment, enhancing the value of sports entertainment. I also believe you can find baseball purists (the purist of any sport) that would be fine with a wood composite bat and gloves that weren't the size of small kites.

The worst of it is that in some sports the market is a monopoly and that stunts competition and progression.

Was I supposed to watch the banana?
