As someone who completed HOTD1, HOTD2, and Confidential Mission with $1, 1 credit, and with just *1* gun, I offer my congrats for that amazing feat.

If she can find a Resident Evil Gun Survivor 2 arcade cab anywhere and use both sides, that's *exactly* the right picture I'd imagine

More fuel for the fire: http://kotaku.com/5963528/heres-a-devas ... th-in-2012

in short, hashtag "#1reasonwhy" right now is being used for women to express some of the ostracizing situations they encounter in the games industry, at game industry events, etc. It hearkened back to the points raised in the essays discussed in this thread, so I thought I'd bring it to the attention of folks who are interested.

Because when any one person calls out even blatantly obvious forms of sexism or racism apparent in videogames or gamer culture, 100 people leap to the defense and squash that person. #1reasonwhy

I still find Kotaku of all people reporting on this to be quite ironic.

The tag's name is meant to suggest people are listing the #1 reason why there aren't more women making games.
That article ignores one of the biggest reasons: there just aren't that many female programmers. You could also ask why there aren't more females working in the IT industry. Why there aren't more females who participate in demoscene. Why there aren't more females who make homebrew or indie games. Why there aren't more females who make open source software.

If we ignore tech/programming skills and compare the video game industry to the film industry, it seems like the situation remains the same. According to this list, the 50 greatest film directors of all time are all men.

To expect man's sexual desire to recede because some women can't handle their own existence is ridiculous. Especially within a primarily men's hobby/sub culture. I mean really, the whole argument is nonsensical.

I think I fixed that for you. Really not too sure what you were getting at to begin with, but it seemed to be something to the effect of, 'Women should sleep with us or GTFO.'

I think we as men have spent more than enough time walking on our knuckles by now.
