LOL, OK, not bad.

Dr. Evil quotes/impressions got old real fast. But this one made me chuckle.

+ Small
+ Great color scheme
+ Matte

- No online functionality
- No Gamecube support
- No SD cards (but without online, are they even needed?)

? Canada only

I'll probably get one even though I don't need it just because it's cool, cheap, and likely to become collectible like the GB Micro.

Odd that it's exclusive to Canada only "during the holiday season". I can't remember the last time (if any?) we received something exclusively or first in the gaming world.
Anyways, seems like it will have a wider release after Christmas. Weird decision though.

I might pick one up later on, love the look of it.

I know this has probably been discussed endlessly on the internet but, are VC games still going to be playable after the wii shop goes down?

EDIT: Nintendo of Canada just emailed me this:

The Wii mini console does not connect to the Internet and does not support online features in games.
**Compatible with Wii software and accessories. Internet connectivity features are not available.
The Wii mini console is not compatible with Nintendo GameCube Game Discs or accessories.

I guess the announcement went live
Also, the Learn More link goes here: http://www.nintendo.com/wiimini/what-is-wii-mini/#/overview. Hopefully that works for non-Canadian IP addresses as well.

I think this might be the right console to try to pick up for my daughters room. It would be better if you could put VC games on it.

So where can we Americans buy it? Amazon and Best Buy's Canadian websites won't ship this stuff outside of Canada.

It might be possible because the red wii I have was a limited edition for Mario's 25th anniversary, while this is not.

A red classic controller was bundled in with some copies of Xenoblade Chronicles in Europe, so that is also an option.

I remember that, but I would imagine that it would be hard to find, especially outside of Europe, and if I did find one, the shipping would be high. Even if a standard red CCPro came out only in Canada, it would be a lot easier and cheaper to import one there. Hell my cousin goes to school in Canada, so I could just ask her to pick one up for me and bring it home with her.

It's interesting at least. I'll be curious to see one in real life, based on the plastic texture and the general shape it has to be extremely inexpensive to make, and it may look really cheap because of that.
The lack of wifi is a bummer though, at that price it could've been some competition for things like roku.

i don't think i'd buy it until they are clearing them out for like $50. since I have an original wii, non-bc black wii, and now the deluxe wii u.

but i admit with the coloring it looks kind of cool.
