Well crap! i have been having freezing issues only on Animal Crossing on Nintendo Land. So i totally disconnected the internet from it to try that fix.
I come in from work and my 6 year old son is playing sonic racing and he asks me what happened and its FROZEN!
This is getting annoying now, i really wish nintendo would acknowledge something in the media about this. I keep hearing "an update this week" from sites on the internet but until i see it and it fixes the issue then i am ticked off.
I really hope since the euro launch is this weekend that something might happen by friday.

Mine froze trying to watch porn on it. I only found one site that worked and when I tried to click back from a video it froze and I had to unplug. I think I will skip the console porn for now.

Which Sharp 70" TV do you have? I have the LC70LE847U and the Wii looks fine on it.

So the internet suggest that the Wii U's ability to play Wii games is completely Emulation based. So, in theory, could one soft mod the Wii U in a way that would allow the console to play games from any region?

Just wondering, I want to play Pandora's Tower, and I'm interested in Fatal Frame numero Dos.

Youtube video of Wii homebrew being run in emulation mode. Not willing to risk my own U to test this since my original Wii is softmodded just fine.

Any proof of this? I am trying to find some verification online but am coming up short. If this is true I will be there first thing saturday.

currently on the phone with nintendo and this guy has no idea what i am talking about with the freezing issues on numerous games. How can this be? its all over the place that 80% of these systems are freezing after the initial 5gb update at launch!
his first question to me was "do you have any 3rd party accessories plugged in that could be causing the issue"... Really??? Really!!!! I understand the guy was just doing his job and reading down a list, so its no anger towards him at all.
I just would like this fixed, or for nintendo to acknowledge that there is an issue. and when we can expect a patch/fix!

I've seen that video, that's why I thought to ask.

Honestly, that's another reason I'm still waiting some on picking up the Wii U. I want to see how home brew friendly the console is. If it is as lenient on the Wii, its all advantages, other than the inevitable cheaters on online games...

I don't think Toys R Us usually talks about their deals they have, they just change them on a weekly basis. That's what an Electronics Department manager explained to me. So, people at the store might know ... but it's usually stuff that is advertised at the last minute ... if at all... and it can also be store specific.

I had to make A LOT of trips to Toys R Us in the end days of GameCube.
