Re: The Wrestling Thread
Well this is interesting
http://allwrestling.com/news/47192/kofi ... -new-jake/
"Kofi Kingston's win over Damien Sandow on the November 23rd episode of WWE SmackDown was his 100th televised singles win with WWE and that only 6 other Superstars have ever reached this milestone: Jeff Hardy, Kane, Randy Orton, Sheamus, CM Punk and John Cena."

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Punk earns his "best in the world" title yet again, beating out the high score on a Walking Dead game they played on the Talking Dead after show
http://www.amctv.com/talking-dead/video ... lking-dead
So I guess Punk is a wrestler, comic book fan, AND a gamer.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
First of all:
Are we ever gonna see a Best of Raw: Seasons 3 & 4 DVD?
And secondly:
Is Bischoff still working for TNA? According to Wikipedia he's the Executive Producer, but on TNA's website, I can't find a single mention of the guy.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Not sure on Best of RAW Seasons 3 & 4 - I wish though, especially with the WWF blurring now gone.
They did announce a second Best of WCW Nitro set for early 2013.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Not a lot of detail yet - just a sale date of 2/12/13
http://www.wwedvdnews.com/details-wcw-n ... day/30195/
Quick collector mini-rant: I'll get any Blu-ray I can because often times the extras are pretty substantial. The kryptonite to my collecting is Best Buy - who will occasionally get their own exclusives...and put them on the regular DVD set. So you have the Blu Ray w/ different extras vs. the Best Buy DVD w/ its own extras. Sometimes you just can't win
I've been back-filling some of my Blu-rays so I have some duplicate sets in mint condition (most never watched) that I may offer up here at a discount from amazon/ebay if there's interest.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Speaking of RAW DVDs, the next release (out in 12 days) is The RAW 100 set, with the top 100 greatest moments in Raw history. Between previous "Best of Raw" sets and the Attitude era disc JUST RELEASED, we're oversaturated at this point.
One cool point though is the 100th episode of RAW is one of the discs in this set.

He might not be on the TNA website to give the illusion that he's no longer with the company so it's some big surprise when he's revealed as the mastermind behind this Aces and Eights thing.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Read this today on a rumor site:
"As of this week, it appears that The Undertaker will be working at
WrestleMania 29. With his potential opponents limited to strong heels
that can get a great match out of him, the current front runner is CM
Punk. It will be interesting to see how they get there."
To me, the only way to do this right and make lots of money would be to have Punk's championship reign last until Mania. Streak versus streak. Then, when Taker becomes champ (since he'll NEVER give up his mania streak to anyone), either have Punk quickly regain it in a rematch or have some up and coming heel(Ziggler) attack Taker and put him out of action, leaving the title belt vacant.
One of the longest title reigns in history versus Taker's mania streak, that's money. If Punk has The Shield backing him up (with maybe Brian Maddox), you could build a lot of interest for such a match and fool marks (like they seem to do every year)into believing that Taker's streak is in jeopardy
Punk could easily sell this match, talking about how everyone wants to know who Taker if facing at mania when they should be talking about the world heavyweight champion and who HE will be facing. No respect for the champ

Re: The Wrestling Thread
^ That's definitely a money match - and would also swerve people that assume Punk is dropping the belt to the Rock at the Rumble. Cena can still get his win back without the belt involved.
