Neo Geo/CD Watts

Post by Menegrothx »

I'm looking to buy a 220-240V->100V step down converter that's suitable for PC Engine consoles and Japanese Neo Geo AES. I also might get a Japanese Neo Geo CD later, I'm not sure yet. Is 50W enough?

Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Not too sure of 50W. It could well be enough.
I use one that's rated at 80W.
I use it for everything from 8bit systems right up to and including my imported Wii.
Outside of the PS3 and 360, it runs most everything else without a problem.

The step down converter I use for my American consoles (and Japanese 3DO and Virtual Boy occasionally) is 50W and it has worked on every single console so far. But I recall reading that the Neo Geo consoles consume more than that.

I'd get 100W 100V to be sure if I could but for some reason ebay.uk doesn't seem to have any, only 30W and 50W and after that it's upwards from 150W but those are way too expensive. I found an Australian electronics shop that sells 100W for 50 australian dollars but I don't think they ship to Europe and I'd rather get the thing ASAP so I want to buy it from Europe.
