Is there a gun thread?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

This would be a range gun. I read that article in ezine after I went to the pawn shop, the reviewer seemed to like it but I was wondering if anyone here has heard anything first had. Cause I have seen another 22 1911 clone from GSG. Since I just want a 22 hand gun, eventually I might get a revolver. But I know I am going to be made fun of for admitting it but I want a m1911a1 from playing Metal Gear Solid (the tranq Mosin led me to want and buy a 91/30). Would like a 45 1911 but I would not be able to go to the range as much as a 22. My wife has forbidden me from buying another gun. As she said you are not going to collect guns when we live in the city. But when I am an old fart I want to live in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of guns (you know the typical American dream).

Aren't colt prices pretty high now that they stopped making handguns?

flex wood,

They're actually making them again. In fact, they just recently started making their little .380 again.

Cool I do like some of their guns. Nothing beats the Ruger 45 I got my dad from my old roommate though. That thing is a beast. It was 300 for the gun, 3 13 shot extended mags and 6 regular 9 shot mags and 60 rounds.

On a side note I'm moving back into my old place at the end of the month and will post pics of some of the hardware that is just laying around.

Luke,

That's a nice little arsenal you have there. I especially like that Ruger. 22. Is that a Mk 1 or Mk2?

MK1. You can use either a clip or a magazine. The Magnum has optical sights, but I'm still more accurate with the .22.

Oh I like that ruger, Luke. How much was it?

My next gun will be a Rossi Circuit Judge:

It is a Taurus Judge in rifle form. So it shoots .410 shells, .410 Magnum shells and .45 colt bullets. And while a .410 is something like a 68 gauge shotgun shell, it is still good enough for a secondary home defense gun (primary being a 12 gauge). A .410 filled with salt will wound them, and if that doesnt get the message across, next round is a .45 colt bullet. Revolver rifles just scream me.

Which Ruger?

The Rossi rifle looks more than nice. I'm considering purchasing a Taurus pt 22, but my heart wants a Colt .38 detective special. I have a Colt .38 special, but I really want a snub nose.

Doh, the Ruger .22. I feel your love of the detective special, there is just something cool about a snub nose. But I cant justify one.
